I was recently invited to my second blogger event, which excited me greatly as it was at one of my fave shops...Lush! As if lil old me got invited...I am literally still so grateful beyond words. I've only ever been to one other blogger event before, and that was at All Bar One in Leeds for a fabulous night which you can read all about . Lush Spa Leeds you held the best night ever, and it gave me the perf opportunity to take the most colourful photos ever!!

So yeah, my sister and I (took lil Maddy along cos she's a big Lushie, if that's even a thing), and we headed to Leeds, nervous but excited for the night to come...

A few weeks back got in touch with me to ask if they could send me some products, and I mean, how could I say no? Just take a look at the items, and you'll see why I didn't hesitate to jump at the chance!

AudreyStyle is a British lifestyle boutique that hand pick beauty and lifestyle products from elite brands across the globe. The best thing about AudreyStyle is that you get to try out products you may have never heard of before, I for one have never heard of any of these brands, but I am so glad I have been introduced to them, because I genuinely love everything.

This is so long awaited. No, seriously. I constantly buy a library's worth of books, and always forget to sit down and review one. When one book finishes, another one opens.

I'm a literal bookworm. I have tons and tons of books, so I'm very excited to actually sit down and review some of my latest reads for you!

I've decided to make 'Rebecca Reads' into a little mini series, I mean, it would make sense, taking into consideration how many books I buy. And last week was no exception. I went to Tesco's to go food shopping with my boyfriend, and I came home with six new books!

I asked you last time if you wanted to see reviews of the books once I'd finished reading them, but I have that many it's taken me a while to get round to doing that. However, I will get round to it, so let me know if you want me to do the same with these new ones too!

I've never been so excited to read an email. in Leeds invited me to their VIP party on the 14th because of their new bar look and menu launch, me, ME. I felt honoured, honestly. I had the best night of my life, it was absolutely amazing!

I met some incredible people, tasted amazing food, and downed gorgeous cocktails, what could be better?

I am so excited to bring you this post, because I'm a huge book worm, and just had to share with you the latest ones I've picked up! Tesco is brilliant for books, they always have an array of them sat patiently on the shelves, waiting for me to pick them up.

I've got a nice mixture for you! From thrillers to romance! So hopefully this post will make you add to your reading list!

I actually thought I'd be able to stay on top of the 52 week Gratitude Challenge, turns out I'm a bit behind... however week ten states 'list 5 things you like about you', and this is somewhat of an unpopular subject to many, talking about themselves and acknowledging all the good, SAY WHAT?! I certainly don't do this, but it's something that is so important for your positivity and self esteem, if I have to do this, then I'm making you too..

Yeah, you heard me. I challenge you to tell yourself 5 things you like about you, you can even write it below in the comments if you're feeling confident, spread that self loving hun!! P.s. sorry for the most random photos, I never know what to use with these type of posts, so behold my scenic photography!!

I never do monthly favourites posts as I don't try out that many things, but recently I've been loving some fashion, skincare and lifestyle pieces, I just had to share them with you!

Yesterday I decided to treat myself, I ordered some exciting things online, so when they arrive I shall be doing a haul for you, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

*Includes disclaimer of not being a professional, and these are just some ways that help me feel a little bit calmer or at ease*. Anywho, I'd like to share with you six ways that may help you feel more relaxed, as stress, anxiety and nerves are very common, and thus I'd like to share with you my tips!

I think these are pretty generic and what most people tend to do anyway, although I hope this post is a nice reminder for you, and motivates you to take a break once in a while, have time to yourself, have a pamper, sleep in, have a day off, eat chocolate, take care of yourself!

Today I thought I'd share with you a post about University. Although I am enjoying it now, it wasn't like this at the beginning. Truth be told, my anxiety makes me worried and scared about attending uni sometimes, and I know many people will be in the same boat, be it their already in further education, or waiting to start in the near future. Thus, I thought I would share with you my experience of uni so far, and a few ways to keep the nerves away! And I thought it fitting to include a photo of my friends from uni and I taking a trip out to Starbucks, I never thought in a million years that I would be making friends, it just goes to show that it does get better. Oh and Starbucks always make the perfect Insta photo, wouldn't you agree?

For me, uni was always on the cards. It was always there at the back of my mind. The end of sixth form was coming closer and we were left with the daunting questions of "what do we want to do in the future?". I think schools do put a lot of pressure on people, and there seems to be such a high expectation of people going into further education, but if that's not for you, then don't let that define you. I know plenty of people who went out and found work instead, or went on to find apprenticeships, uni is not the be all and end all, but if you do want to go or are already there, hopefully this post helps in some way.

Do one thing a week that scares you

I thought the Gratitude Challenge was interesting this week, it asks for us to express gratitude to three people, so I didn't really know how I could incorporate this into a post. The week after asks us 'how did we do and feel?' so I wanted to combine these two into one post.

I think letting people know how lucky we are to have them in our life is the best thing to do, it will improve your relationship, and overall make you and that person really happy. I definitely need to start doing this more, I've vowed to make more of an effort with people, and let them know how much I appreciate them.

Thursday, 25 February 2016

For the seventh week of the Gratitude Challenge I have to write about a friend, but I thought I'd make it more general about friendship as this isn't something I've learned to grasp very easily. I've always been a quiet, lonely and anxious individual, and thus this has stopped me from making friends and being more sociable. I wrote a post about my anxiety where I went into more detail on this if you want to have a read of it . But there is a few people I would like to mention in this blog post, as I am extremely grateful that I have them in my life.

I want to mention the A team.

I'm super excited to bring you this post, I received the amazing opportunity to work with 'Eat Your Photo', where I got sent personalised cupcakes to review for my blog... pretty much the best thing ever right?!?!

Right. And let me tell you why...

Monday, 15 February 2016

A little late on this post, but nonetheless this is my sixth week of the Gratitude Challenge, and this week I have to discuss the city I live in. Now, I personally live in a really small town, where nothing exciting ever happens. I mean, the most exciting thing to happen is probably a nightclub called the Frontier (don't get me started).

So although I don't live in a city per se, I thought I would mention one I live close to, which is good old Leeds. I feel like Leeds is a treat. I go there to shop at the Trinity and stuff my face in restaurants, namely Nando's, and that's about it. What an exciting life I live.

I'm excited to bring you the fifth post of the Gratitude Challenge! This one is about something someone gave you, which at first I racked my brain, eyes scoring around my room, trying to pin point something precious to share with you.

Then it hit me. I shouldn't be looking round for just materialistic items, or items I can physically touch and hold, perhaps I should start with something a little more heart felt, to really capture my gratitude.

I was recently given the opportunity to read and review the book 'Rebel of the Sands' by Alwyn Hamilton. I thought the blurb sounded extremely interesting, I couldn't turn it down! Recently, I've been obsessed with books related to fantasy and magic, and of course romance, I tend to romanticise everything in my life due to books.
Another thing that instantly drew me in, was the front cover. How gorgeous is this though? I love the colours, patterns, font and the illustration. There's something peaceful and relaxing about it being the night sky, whilst a dark figure on a horse at the bottom, leaves you puzzled and interested to find out more.

Welcome back to the fourth week of the Gratitude Challenge, how exciting! "A family member" is on todays agenda, although I previously talked about family in my last post, but this time I thought I'd try make it a little different. I thought I'd include a nice little 2009 throwback. I used to be obsessed with this photo haha, so cute.

A letter to my sister. My incredibly annoying little sister Madison.

I don't think you guys really know me, not the real me anyway. It can be easy to lose yourself, especially on social media, so I thought I'd share with you this post all about me (I swear I'm not a narcissist). Here's a TB photo to my year 13 prom, this was such a good night.

I'm incredibly stubborn, and I hate being wrong. Let me have the last word. I'm unsociable and a hermit. What? I love doing nothing. I have a love of TV shows, my favourites are Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, Scandal, Pretty Little Liars, Revenge, The Walking Dead, Once Upon A Time, and Gossip Girl. I love reading and writing, they have been my passions ever since I was young. I love books, namely thrillers at the moment (The Girl on the Train, Gone Girl, The Secret Place) but also I love romances/adventure novels too (The Atlas of us, Dear John, The Magisterium series, Zeroes...). My fave films range from thrillers, action, adventure, romances, such as anything Marvel (Iron Man in particular), the James Bond franchise (helloooo Daniel Craig!), Harry Potter, and I have to admit I'm a big kid. I love High School Musical, The Sleepover, I love Disney!
